The importance of matching your logo colors:

 In Blog

Almost every client we encounter has a job that requires the
use of their logo and established color scheme. What most people don’t realize
is the importance of keeping those colors consistent across all your
marketing/advertising channels. There’s no doubt that you want your business
card colors to match your brochures colors….and your website colors to match
the decals on the front door of your business. You most certainly want your
vehicle decals to match everything else! At e3 signs we have a color matching
system in place that ensures our printer will get as close to your provided
color sample as possible! Not only is a consistent use of your logo important,
but the color you use will keep your branding professional and consistent as well.

How do we do it?

You can be involved in the process as much or as little as you want.
First we establish what kind of signs or decals we’re going to
produce for you. For example, let’s say we’re creating a vehicle wrap on your
truck. You want your logo on the doors and the same color green that your logo
uses, incorporated in the design.

Option 1: You can come in and sit with our Graphic Artist Pam.
She has color charts printed on all the various materials we use. We can
take (for example) your business card (which displays your colors EXACTLY how you want
them printed) and go through the color charts in the book. Together, we can
select which color you thinks matches your established color scheme best. We’ll use
that color throughout the whole process and viola, everything matches!

Option 2: You can leave the color sample you need matched with us (let’s
say your business card) with our Graphic Artist and she’ll go through the
books, select a few that are the closest match and create a few test prints. In the end,
e3 will select that colors that match your sample the closest and print a small
sample for you to view and approve before any major printing is done. If further testing is
needed, we’ll work with you to match the colors as close to perfection as possible.

Many times, we have clients come in and their brochure
colors are different from their business card colors, and it goes on and on from there. This can be a very
frustrating thing. Once you’ve been through the process with e3, you’ll know what to expect and how to ask your
other printers what type of color matching system they have in place.

We would be happy to answer any questions you might have regarding the color matching process, and look forward to working with you!
